The new Shimano EP8 eBike system has a higher, 85Nm torque, even better driving and control properties, and greater ground clearance. The light, magnesium-encased engine also offers a renewed Trail mode, where the drive unit adjusts the level of assistance quickly and seamlessly as situations change, so you can fully focus on driving! Favorite routes also change with the seasons, as do the weather conditions. With the E-TUBE PROJECT phone application, which is compatible with the EP8 engine, you can customize the levels of assistance before setting off and save the settings you like in two different profiles. (e.g. commuting and off-road driving). Using the E-TUBE PROJECT application requires updating the on-board computer to a Bluetooth-compatible model. The on-board computer is sold as a separate accessory.
